■Basic skills management is required to have
Risk management is one of the basic management skills persons in managerial positions are required to have. Our contemporary society is the age of crises. What management should do is to implement risk management completely.
■Ample exercises will enable you to experience risk management.
The most remarkable characteristic of the course is the abundant exercises that occupy half of the whole session time.
Two distinctive features of the exercises are as follows;
1.To identify as many risks as the participants might think it is impossible to find any more.
In the risk identification work, each participant tries to approach risks his/her own organization might be faced with from six points of view.
Then he/she will be assigned to identify as many risks as he/she might think it is impossible to detect any more.
2.To take a risk countermeasure and handle risks
After they finish identifying the potential risks their own organization might be faced with, they will move on to a simulation of "a risk countermeasure meeting." In this session, they will be assigned to make up a feasible risk countermeasure plan in which they can grasp the facts accurately and have their colleagues involved in with group members. In this work, they will be able to learn how to respond to each identified risk specifically by focusing on costs and schedules, etc.
■To detect risks and challenge them as an organization
We guarantee the following two effects of the course;
1.Participants will be able to find problems of their own organizations by themselves.
If a person learns how to identify potential risks, he/she will be able to grasp the problems his/her own organization might be faced with, and to acquire how to look his/her organization in a big picture as well. It is necessary for a person in a managerial position to have risk management skills to protect his/her division. It is a requirement for management.
2.Risk management is effective in cultivating subordinates, too.
Just like a trainer, each participant will be able to convey the risk management approach he/she has learned to the subordinates. Trying to make them to identify potential risks will bring the attendee the following two effects; one is that the subordinates will be able to sort out risks by themselves and the other is the person who attended the training will be able to grasp each staff's ability by the amount of risks he/she identifies. By doing so, the attendee will be able to improve his/her subordinates'abilities to the same level as his/her own.
We have been providing training programs on this topic for a wide range of organizations varying from enterprises, government agencies to local governments, etc. Especially, we've offered many programs to section managers who are often in charge of risk management. Furthermore, we conduct a questionnaire survey prior to each training program, that has been contributing to our abundant data on risk management case examples and problems in various industries and organizations.
