Current situation of foreign-affiliated corporations in Japan

Training for managers in the field are now most required in food service industry where more intensive competition of lower prices due to continuing consumer slump and downsizing due to low birthrate and aging are assumed in order to aim for further development of the organization in future. Although it is not easy to gather managers who are too busy in the field, working system that can do without managers if necessary should be established.

Universal development of human resources including staffs has become the issue of companies that have branches and stores in various places. Although methods of human resource development in each store used to be left solely in each area manager's hand, now there are more companies that aim to establish universal system of human resources development focusing on brand images (corporate images).

Each store is starting with training for store managers and for instructors of on-the-job training in strengthening human resource development. Since most companies has been failing to conduct on-the-job training systematically, the qualities of human resources vary widely in the current state. Training of on-the-job training that help instructors to conduct well-planned human resource development correctly understanding company policy have become more popular. They adopt more of these training along with follow-up training compared to other industries since establishment has become their urgent issue.

    • I am reflecting on my usual behavior that are mostly in negative forms. I tended to think I was right in listening to opinions of superior or subordinates. How I continue three themes that I chose will have impact on others.
