For service industries with higher public benefit to grow, it is essential to put heavy weight on human resource development and building up a strategical brand image. That is to say, to establish further competitiveness of electric company, you must pursue measures such as cost cutting and enhancing productivity, in order to expand shared both in BtoB and BtoC market. We have conducted various training courses on development of human resource for big companies in electricity industry.
We conducted a training for people whose job is to PR electric appliances by means of cooking demonstration using one of them. Many of attendants are housewives in their 40's. We included basic service skills and a skill to talk plainly to customers for their easy understanding of products' attractive features and of the company.
As the number of subordinate increases, it gets more difficult to control figures and manage the targets, as well as recognizing each individual's performance. You will learn the methods of dealing with big number of subordinates, such as how to distinguish staff's behaviors, optimize work quantity for each staff, and manage the progress by the numerical targets.
There are many cases where excellent workers are promoted to playing managers. What those excellent playing managers have to do is to document the individualized skills so that other staff can try to imitate them. You will list up many stages describing in detail, such like "deal with in this way in a case ......" and contemplate how you can transfer them to your staff.
We conducted this training for smooth handover of work as there were frequent personal transfers.(Every three years) It was conducted as a part of business improvement since it shortens the time for handovers considerably. As the standardization of business and manualized business flow is the important, useful tools for management to understand the work situations, many companies implement this training to improve skills of all staff to document their work.
