The competition in the domestic medical market is intensifying with increasing demands for upgraded medical products that mainly come from aging population and advanced medical treatments. (NHI Price Revision in 2010, expiring patents of main drugs, growing trend of switching to generics, large-scale mergers, etc. are other element.) Insource offers training for MRs, call center staff, and research and development staff as the main programs of all that are designed for Medical and drug industry.
1.Improving MR's Sales skills
Plan to improve sales skills reviewing conventional sales techniques.
2.Retention measures for current customers
Keeping the existing customer through establishing a new call center, or by improving an existing one in skills of offering good impressions in dealing with customers there.
3.To change the company climate to favor human resource development in the workplace of research and development.
Transfer the individualized knowledge and know-hows.
4.Strengthen the organization by improving leadership skill of management
Management should exercise more leadership in making profitable plans and carrying them out to strengthen the company, as they are the core staff of the organizations which are going through the phase of flattening.
The situation in drug industry shows a tendency of structure flattening (increased number of staff to manage) and diversification. With this as background, there are some management people who find their job extremely difficult, as a conventional style of management does not work. There are two problematic types which are common to management people in the drug industry. One is "Tend to talk a lot and do not listen to staff(unable to know what his staff are thinking)" and the other is "Unable to set a strategical goal and proceed with it aggressively" . We can deal with those issues,
1.Creative imagination to employ in planning
2.By enhancing capability to pursue the goal while coaching staff, you will also strengthen your leadership, and eventually it will lead to increase competitiveness of your company in the market.
As the globalization proceeds, eliminations and consolidations among companies resulted in choosing experienced workers to new graduates in employment for some time. Now there are many companies in the drug industry that show ill-balanced staff population pyramid with staff aged in their late 20's to early 30's as the next generation of leaders in their organization. Those companies have a distinct problem, as the core staff workers have no experience to have helped their junior workers before, and there is very little company climate of coaching or mentoring left. Insource helps those companies establish a system where seniors such as management or leaders train their juniors as a part of company climate, by making management and leaders to understand the importance of human resource development.
MRs are required to have skills to convince busy doctors and sell products in a very short period of time (1~3 minutes). Manners needed to be a trusted sales representative, enhancing the visibility as a representative, skill of plausible explanation, and appropriate and prompt responses are the things to acquire as MR. The skills of sales will be sharpened in OJT and PDCA training. Management's improved skill in human development is the key to enhance competitiveness of an organization.
Call centers of this industry tend to deal more with experts in medical institutions rather than with individual consumers (there are many cases the inquiries from individuals are met with no comments as most strict rules are applied to the availability to individual customers). Therefore, call center staff are more required to have enhanced skill of dealing, to keep customers as the customers whether they are in medical institute or individual consumers.
Though investment continue to be poured to develop a new drug, there is a growing problem of aging researchers and individualization of knowledge in the research related places. It is most important to establish a system in the workplace to transfer the individualized knowledge and know-hows to the next generation. With this system being built, the organization will gain the strength to revive and survive.
